USD 303 Application to Extend SFSP Program Approved
September 03, 2020
Extension of Summer Food Service Program
We are excited to announce that our application to continue the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) has been approved by KSDE. With the announcement by Sonny Perdue, US Secretary of Agriculture, USD 303 Food Service staff moved quickly to get applications in place to help serve our students and community better. By utilizing this program, we will be able to provide free lunch and breakfast meals to all USD 303 students. This is a great opportunity for our students, families, community, and school. Students must be enrolled at USD 303 to take advantage of this program.
Effective September 3, 2020, all USD 303 students will receive free breakfast and lunch meals. We will not be delivering food, but students utilizing Remote Learning may call the High School Office by 8:30 am each morning to request a meal. Meals may be picked up between 12:50 and 1:00 at the cafeteria doors behind the High School Building.
The length of time we are able to offer this service will be determined by available Federal Funding and actions by Congress. We will work hard to notify parents in a timely manner when we have to move back to charging for meals.
