September 17th NCHS Cross Country Results

Daphne was our highest-placing finisher, placing 7th. Other medalists were Callie 13th, Riley 19th, Jordan 20th. The Girls finished in 3rd place overall. On the boys side Chaz medaled in 11th place. Other Runnin’ Eagle finishers were Corinne Younger, Brynlee Pfannenstiel, Brecklyn Bishop, Preston Stenzel and Jaxson Campfield

First off, the kids had a very hard training week, as we kind of trained through this meet since we backed off a little the previous week in preparation for the Wamego meet. Our legs were not very fresh and it got pretty hot but I thought the kids still competed very well. The kids’ training is going very well and I think PR’s are on the horizon. The girls team is ranked 2nd in the state as we travel to Norton Thursday for a very competitive meet against 1-3A teams. Next week is our home meet and we invite everyone out for that as it has turned into a very big meet. Races start at 4:00 at the golf course and as always, the K-6 Kids race will start immediately after the high school races. We hope to see you there!
