September 11th Cross Country Results

There were 142 runners and 18 teams in the girls race and 191 runners in the boys race! The Girls won with 83 points! Our top 5 girls medaled: Daphne 11th, Callie 15th, Riley 21st, Corinne 28th, Jordan 35th! Brynlee and Brecklyn also competed tough! On the boys side Chaz medaled in 10th place! Preston and Jaxson also competed tough!

“What a day to be a Runnin’ Eagle! This TEAM is so full of guts and grit, I love it! A new challenging state course and some heat did not stop these runners from showing what they are made of! The goal was to bring home some hardware against some of the best competition from all over the state; The Runnin’ Eagles delivered, and in a big way! To come home with 6 individual medalists and a girls team title, I couldn’t be more proud to say be their coach! The scary thing is, Coach Joe and I still don’t think we are even close to where our peak fitness is going to be! We have 2 seasoned vets in Brecklyn & Chaz but we are also loaded with a bunch of young guns! This TEAM is just awesome! WE have fun TOGETHER, WE are learning to be fierce competitors and WE work as hard or harder than any team I have ever coached. Thursday morning we head to St. John for a competitive meet that we have normally raced very well at. Mark you calendars, we host our 20th Annual Clyde T. McCracken home meet Thursday, Oct 1st at the golf course and our 13th Annual Kids Run will immediately follow the high school races. Races start at 4:00, Kids Race will be at approximately 5:45. I hope to see a lot of you there!”
