NCES Students to Participate in STEAM MAKER MINI Camp
September 22, 2015
We are excited to have a special event occurring on Thursday, September 24. During the school day, our K-6 students will have the opportunity to participate in a STEAM Maker Mini Camp. This camp will take place in our elementary gym, and essentially, students will have the opportunity to learn by doing. As we look to the future of education, we feel that our students need more and more hands-on opportunities to design, problem solve, and build. This will be a great and fun learning opportunity for our students. This event will be carried into the evening for our annual NCES Open House. You will have the opportunity to design and build a project with your child during the Open House from 6:00-7:00 pm on Thursday evening.
We are just as excited to have Ginger Lewman with us that day to help facilitate the STEAM Maker Camp. Mrs. Lewman is an education consultant with ESSDACK that several of the elementary teachers have had the opportunity to work with and learn from. ESSDACK is an educational consortium in Hutchinson that USD 303 is a member of. She brings great energy, passion, and instructional knowledge with her to Ness City. It is an awesome opportunity for our students and staff to learn new ways to meet our students’ needs.
